Platform and server requirements
PhatCMS is built on the latest Microsoft platform, ASP.Net 2.0. PhatCMS requires Microsoft Windows 2000 or 2003 server with the ASP.Net 2.0 framework installed. PhatCMS also requires Microsoft’s SQL server, either express or standard. No server objects or other software is required to run PhatCMS.
Compatibility
Testing has been carried out on Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Mozilla's Firefox and the Opera browser. XHTML compliance means that sites built with PhatCMS will work on different browsers across platforms, including PC’s, Mac’s and Linux.
Easy to Re-skin
Heavy use of CSS and ASP.Net's master-page template mean that PhatCMS can be re-skinned quickly and easily. Elements can be easily moved around within your design; functional elements can be fully controlled on a page by page basis.
XML based navigation
The site navigation menus and links utilize the asp.net 2.0 web.sitemap xml file which contains all the data needed for all navigation across the site, requiring less interaction with the database for quicker page loads. This file is only re-written when there is a change in the site navigation hierarchy or content.
Compiled code
PhatCMS is a pre-compiled program rather than interpreted script, and utilizes Dynamic Link Library (.dll) files for security and speed. PhatCMS can easily be setup as an intranet, extranet, or standard website.
