We recognise the trend towards mobile devices becoming more prevalant in day to day use on the web. 2 years ago we developed a solution to allow key features of our function management system MyBizThings to be used on mobile devices.
This allows users to access time entries from out in the field using only a mobile phone, notes can be added and the data is entered in real time from the mobile device.
Now we are developing our WebShell product to be accesible on mobile devices. We have an example mobile page with pictures and video for mobile all downloadable onto your phone. Soon we will release our mobile site plugin which will allow users to browse our entire site on a mobile phone.
While this technology is still very young, you only have to look at the number of advertisements on television promoting ringtones and logos for phones to see it is growing very rapidly. Most mobile providers such as Optus have their own web based systems accesible via mobiles providing content to their users. It is only a matter of time before this technology is demanded by businesses who are not in the mobile telecoms industry.
